birth doula omaha nebraska

I support births at all Omaha area hospitals, and can travel up to two hours for home birth clients.

Support is extended to all families seeking assistance, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identification, ethnicity or race, marital status, disability status, religion, age, or any other identifying factor.

I believe in you and (more than anything) I want you to believe in yourself, too.

Hey, I’m Kayla

I have been attending births as a doula since September of 2022. I love working with those wishing to approach birth as a time of personal transformation. I approached birth with a lot of fear for my first two pregnancies, and with my third I discovered the power of confidence and mindfulness. I found that birth is so much more than a means to an end…it is a transformation. I love helping to guide pregnant people on that journey. It’s truly an honor to witness.

I find this work to be so utterly rewarding and awe-inspiring, I could not imagine myself ever doing anything else. When I’m not working with birthing people prenatally/at a birth/visiting a client after their babies arrived, you can find me with my family. They are the light of my life… a very fun crew. An amazing husband who selflessly supports his doula wife’s unpredictable schedule, and a son and two daughters who are all of the wild-variety.

I have supported births in all birthing locations in Omaha & Lincoln: home, the CHI Immanuel Birth Center, as well as every hospital in Omaha and Lincoln.

My approach is very relationship-based, as I believe the most valuable thing a doula can provide is an anchor of trust throughout your pregnancy, birthing and postpartum journey. We will get to know each other very well, and I love answering all of your questions.
